Youths across the 13 wards of Bende Local Government Area have extended their heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, for the appointment of Hon. Chidiebere Kingsley Asonye (JP) as the Zonal Coordinator of Abia Arise for Abia North Senatorial Zone.
It will be recalled that on April 5th, 2025, Governor Otti officially inaugurated the state, zonal, and local government coordinators of Abia Arise, a key structure for grassroots mobilization and strategic engagement ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Reacting to the appointment, Comr. Kalu Okereke, a youth leader in Bende, described the development as a wise decision by the Governor. He noted that Hon. Asonye is a grassroots mobilizer with a track record of service, having previously served as Deputy Chairman of Bende LGA and performed creditably in all previous positions.
“The appointment of Hon. Chidiebere Asonye is proof that Governor Otti is bringing tested and trusted hands into critical structures of the state. Asonye is well-respected and understands the terrain of Abia North. His experience and connection to the grassroots will be a huge advantage,” Comr. Okereke said.
Also reacting, the Labour Party leadership in Ozuitem Ward expressed their joy and congratulated Hon. Asonye in glowing terms.
