The Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bende Local Government Area, Lady Ozochi Linda Chidinma, popularly known as Janny Lily, has officially resigned her membership of the party, as well as her position as Woman Leader.
In a letter dated May 17, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Bende, Lady Chidinma expressed her appreciation to the party for the opportunity to serve.
“I am writing to formally resign from the Peoples Democratic Party, Bende Local Government Area, Abia State, with immediate effect. I also hereby step down from my position as the Woman Leader of the Party in Bende Local Government Area,” the letter reads.
She further stated:
“I am grateful to the party and its members for the support, opportunities, and experiences I have received during my time of service. These have contributed significantly to my personal and political development.”
Sources close to Lady Chidinma indicate that she is set to join the Labour Party, marking a significant shift in the political landscape of Bende LGA.
