AC Milan FC has emerged as the winner of the 2025 edition of the Samuel Chukwueze Football Championship, held at Ugba Primary School, Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State.
The thrilling final match saw AC Milan FC face off against IPOD FC, with both teams locked in a fierce contest that was eventually decided by a penalty shootout. AC Milan FC triumphed with a 3–2 victory on penalties.
Super Eagles forward and tournament founder, Samuel Chukwueze, while speaking to journalists, revealed that this marks the 4th edition of the grassroots football competition. According to him, the championship was initiated to identify and encourage local football talents, giving many young players an opportunity to shine and possibly secure professional opportunities.
Chukwueze reaffirmed his commitment to supporting football development at the grassroots level, noting that several players discovered in past editions are already progressing in their football careers.
