The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has called on Nigerians to recognize and appreciate the development efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the FCT, regardless of their personal feelings toward him.

Speaking on Thursday during the commissioning of the newly constructed Kugbo Bus Terminal in Abuja, Wike noted that the President has significantly transformed the capital’s infrastructure to rival leading global cities.

“Even if I don’t like you but you are doing something good, I will appreciate you. Mr President which has changed the landscape of Abuja, for Abuja to compete like other cities in the world,” Wike stated.

He emphasized that any objective observer with a clear conscience would acknowledge the President’s contributions to the development of Abuja.

“So, even if you don’t like Mr President for liking sake any right thinking person, who has conscience would not say that Mr President has not done a lot as far as Abuja is concerned,” he added. “Mr President has changed the narrative as far as FCT is concerned.”

Reiterating a challenge he posed earlier, Wike invited previous administrations to come forward and claim credit for the projects completed and currently being commissioned under his tenure.

“And like I said yesterday, if there is any previous governments that did this and we are claiming it, please you owe the public, come out and say ‘no we are the ones who did it, they are just claiming.’”

“I thought people would have come out since yesterday but nobody has said anything,” the Minister concluded.

PUO Reports will continue to provide updates on infrastructural developments within the FCT.
