President Bola Tinubu will host the Super Falcons and officials of Nigeria’s female football team at the State House in Abuja on Monday.
The Super Falcons, who clinched the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco, are expected to arrive in Nigeria later on Sunday night.
It is anticipated that the players and their officials will be rewarded by the President for their performance.
Tinubu had earlier approved the payment of the team’s outstanding bonuses and allowances on the eve of Saturday’s final against hosts, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.
The Super Falcons fought back from two goals down to defeat the North Africans 3-2, securing their 10th WAFCON title.
