A prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Faizu Alfindiki, has pledged overwhelming support and votes from Kano for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Alfindiki made this known during a lunch meeting with the President’s social media influencers in Kano on Wednesday, where he commended their role in promoting Tinubu’s administration and reinforcing his popularity across the northern region.
“Our meeting with you this morning is to rejig your activities, address challenges where necessary, and I’m pleased to say that the last six months have been bold and impactful. Your work has helped to position Tinubu’s re-election bid in a firm and positive light in Kano State and the North in general,” Alfindiki stated.
The former Chairman of Kano Municipal Council expressed confidence in Tinubu’s enduring appeal in the region, asserting that the President remains the most credible option for the North heading into 2027.
“2027 election is going to be a defining moment for Kano and the Arewa people. For us in Kano, we have chosen Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu because of his unmatched support for our region,” he added.
Alfindiki also cautioned against the use of ethnic sentiments in the buildup to the elections, warning that such tactics would no longer sway the northern electorate.
He assured that Kano State would deliver its votes to the APC and President Tinubu “on a platter of gold,” reinforcing the ruling party’s foothold in one of Nigeria’s most populous states.
