A former Transition Committee Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, Comrade O’Brien Iroh, has officially withdrawn from all PDP-related platforms, expressing deep disillusionment with the current state of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)

In a farewell message to fellow members of a PDP WhatsApp platform, Comrade Iroh did not mince words, stating that the party has become “something else,” and no longer reflects his personal values or political ideals.

“I am exiting this platform since it’s purely a PDP platform (not because of any issue), but because I may soon be taking a break from the PDP and its distractions,” he began.

He acknowledged the shared moments on the platform , from arguments and ideological clashes to friendly exchanges ,emphasizing that despite differing opinions, the common goal remains service to humanity and community.

However, Comrade Iroh noted that the prevailing political mentality, party handling, and internal discourse within the PDP no longer resonate with his principles.

“PDP as it is today, no longer aligns nor resonates with my perspective of life and my ideal political values; everything is now ‘something else’,” he said.

He urged those still doubting his position to review the party’s recent conduct and internal engagements, describing the party as a “perfect microcosm of the macrocosm” in decline.

Despite stepping away, Iroh emphasized that his decision is a personal one aimed at preserving his mental health and brotherhood with colleagues, not a move driven by enmity or conflict.

“I wish all of us well. Bye,” he concluded.

Some of the platforms he exited included ;
Abia PDP stakeholders forum, PDP ohafia LGA, other PDP National and affiliated platforms, etc,
