Prominent businessman and political figure, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has thrown his weight behind the recent communiqué issued by stakeholders of Old Bende, which endorsed the leadership of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.

In a press statement released on Wednesday, Anyaso described the communiqué as a reflection of the collective aspirations of Abians who are committed to progress, transparency, and good governance.

“I align myself fully with the position of the Old Bende Stakeholders. Governor Otti has, in under two years, shown exceptional leadership, fiscal discipline, and a clear vision for the transformation of Abia State,” Anyaso said.

Anyaso, a native of Bende LGA and founder of the Ofuji Movement praised the Governor’s strides in infrastructure, transparent governance, and citizen engagement—adding that Abians now have renewed confidence in government.

“This is not just an endorsement of a communiqué,” he said. “It is a reaffirmation of our shared hope for a new Abia—driven by competence, integrity, and inclusive development.”

The Old Bende bloc, made up of Bende, Ohafia, Arochukwu, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi LGAs, had last week held a stakeholders’ meeting where a communiqué was issued pledging support for Governor Otti’s administration, citing visible achievements across sectors.

Anyaso’s endorsement adds significant weight to the growing support base of Governor Otti, especially among private sector players and youth-oriented leaders in Abia North.

He urged all well-meaning Abians to sustain their support for the Otti administration, saying, “Let us stand with leadership that is working.”
