Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has shared his personal story of living with albinism, recounting the bullying, body shaming, and rejection he endured in his early years.
In a post on X, the governor revealed that the challenges he faced shaped his character and strengthened his resolve to stand confidently today. He credited his journey of survival and eventual success to God’s grace.
“Growing up with albinism wasn’t easy; I faced bullying, body shaming, and rejection. But today, by God’s grace, I stand proudly,” Eno wrote.
He added that his experiences have inspired him to always honour and recognise people with albinism whenever he meets them.
