Declares Full Support for the Abia Messiah

The Abia Progressive Union, Western Cape, South Africa, has officially endorsed the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, for a second term in office.

The endorsement came during a well-attended gathering of Abians in Cape Town, which brought together Presidents-General of Abia communities across the Western Cape, respected elders, and prominent leaders in the diaspora.

Among the dignitaries present were Sir Philip Uhuaba, National Elder of the Western Cape, and Hon. Vincent Onyema Nzekwe, immediate past President-General of Abians in South Africa. Both leaders likened Governor Otti to “another Sam Mbakwe of our time,” a description that resonated deeply with attendees and underscored their admiration for his leadership.

Speaking at the event, the Governor’s Special Assistant on Youth Development, Comrade Onyebuchi Chukwu, described the endorsement as “a celebration of unity, pride, and renewed confidence in Abia’s future.” The event was ably hosted and coordinated by Hon. Mazi Nwabueze Orji, Governor of Abians in the Western Cape and President of the Abia State Progressive Union, Western Cape.

Also in attendance were heads of Abia communities from other provinces across South Africa, who took turns to testify about the remarkable transformation Governor Otti has brought to Abia State. They noted that his leadership has rekindled hope, restored pride among Abians in the diaspora, and reinforced faith in governance that truly serves the people.

What began as an endorsement gathering became a resounding celebration of progress, unity, and unwavering support for a visionary leader who, they believe, has redefined governance in Abia State.
