The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has welcomed the return of Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as a significant boost for the party.
Obasa received the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate at his official residence in Ikeja GRA on Tuesday, where he noted that Jandor’s decision underscores the enduring appeal of the APC as the party that best represents the aspirations of Lagosians.
“We are happy to have you back. This is a very good move,” the Speaker said, assuring Jandor of seamless reintegration and collaboration in driving the APC’s vision for effective governance in Lagos State.
He praised Jandor for what he described as a courageous and thoughtful decision, adding that the APC’s inclusive structure continues to provide opportunities for shared progress and sustainable development.
In his remarks, Jandor expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s warm reception and pledged to contribute meaningfully to the APC’s mission for Lagos and Nigeria at large.
He also commended President Bola Tinubu’s recent tax reforms, describing them as bold and people-focused policies introduced despite opposition from critics.
“It takes courage and leadership to introduce such reforms in the face of resistance. The President has once again demonstrated his resolve to put the people first,” Jandor said.
