Nine former members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who were recently offered automatic employment in the Abia State Civil Service by Governor Alex Otti, have pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Nwogu Chinomso from Obingwa Local Government Area expressed gratitude to the governor, describing him as a true leader who values excellence. He assured that they would serve the state with commitment and dedication.
“I want to sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to you, Your Excellency, for the recognition and encouragement you have given to us,” Chinomso said, while also praying for God’s blessings upon the governor.
Earlier, Governor Otti had directed the Head of Service, Benson Ojeikere, to formalize their appointments immediately, noting that their outstanding performance during service had already proven their capability.
“They have already passed the interviews,” Otti remarked.
The Abia State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Gladys Adama, commended the gesture, revealing that eight of the nine beneficiaries served outside the South-East zone and excelled in their places of primary assignment.
The new appointees include Nwogu Chinonso, Anyanwu Promise, Ezieme Francis Uba, Emmanuel Ogbenyealu Ezinne, Abia Chinwendu Grace, Nwafike Esther Chiemela, Dr. Ugwa Obinna Mark, Eke Lawrence Miracle, and James Raphael Chukwuebuka.
