The prestigious accolade was presented by former PSG and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho, marking a career-defining moment for the French winger after an exceptional year of performances.
Dembélé succeeds Manchester City midfielder Rodri, last year’s winner, who had edged out Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior for the 2024 prize.
In the women’s category, Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmatí claimed the Ballon d’Or Féminin, surpassing Arsenal duo Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo to retain her status as one of the world’s top players.
