Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has regained her Senate seat after months of suspension, with her office at the National Assembly officially unsealed on Tuesday.
The Kogi Central lawmaker, who was suspended in March following clashes with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, struck a defiant tone upon her return, declaring she had “no apology to tender.”
Her comeback has sparked mixed reactions: while Atiku Abubakar hailed it as a stand against intimidation, Aisha Yesufu accused the Senate of being “used,” and legal experts warned her to respect chamber rules. Analysts also cautioned that unless Natasha tempers her confrontational style, she risks renewed clashes that could threaten her 2027 re-election prospects.
