The 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, says President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, is qualified to run for governor in 2027 but lacks the experience he brings to the race.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Jandor noted that while Seyi and other potential contenders, including former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Senator Tokunbo Abiru, are all eligible, most of them have never tested their strength on the ballot.
“Okay, so all the names that you have mentioned, just like I said earlier, they are all qualified to be governor of Lagos. This includes Seyi himself, every one of them. And you’re not going to take anything away from no one. But from all of them that you have mentioned, aside from the former governor that you mentioned, none of them have actually been on the ballot as governorship candidates aside from myself. So I come with that experience. I come with the experience of somebody who has single-handedly gone through that process without any backing,” he said.
