Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has cautioned Hamas against violating the recently signed Gaza peace agreement, warning that any deliberate delay in returning the bodies of deceased hostages would be regarded as a serious breach.

In a statement shared on his verified X handle, Katz emphasized the importance of fulfilling the terms of the deal, noting, “The urgent mission we are all committed to now is to ensure the return of all the fallen hostages home.”

He further stated, “Hamas’s announcement of the expected return of four bodies today constitutes a failure to meet its commitments,” adding that “any delay or deliberate avoidance will be considered a blatant violation of the agreement and will be met accordingly.”

According to reports, Hamas has informed mediators that it does not know the whereabouts of some of the bodies among the 28 slain hostages. Israel was reportedly aware of this situation when it agreed to the deal.

PUO Reports recalls that an Israeli official had earlier disclosed to journalists that between seven and nine bodies might not be recovered, while another source suggested the number could be as high as 10 to 15. However, Israeli authorities have not publicly confirmed these figures.
