The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in the upcoming November 8 Anambra State election, John Nwosu, has criticised Governor Chukwuma Soludo, saying his administration has failed to deliver meaningful progress to the state.

Speaking on Monday during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Nwosu said the incumbent governor’s performance in the last three and a half years has been disappointing.

“Four years in the life of a state is very important. As a matter of fact, the incumbent governor has not done well for the state,” he said.

Nwosu cited insecurity as one of the most visible failures of the Soludo administration, stressing that kidnappings and violence have worsened across several local government areas.

“The indices are there for everyone to see, starting with insecurity. In the last three and a half years, Anambra has lost people in the name of kidnappings. Ihiala Local Government, which is home to the owner of Air Peace, has been ravaged by insecurity for the last three and a half years. People from that area have not been going home. They have been holding weddings and burials outside their country home because of insecurity,” he stated.

The ADC candidate urged Anambra residents to demand better governance and leadership focused on restoring safety and development across the state.
