Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen says his full attention is now on national duty as Nigeria prepares to face Gabon in Thursday’s World Cup playoff match.
Osimhen spoke shortly after Galatasaray lost 1-0 to Kocaelispor in the Turkish Super Lig, where Dan Agyei scored the decisive goal for the hosts. He explained that the defeat would not distract him from joining up with the national team.
“I have to travel. The game has happened, it has happened,” he said. “I have moved on from that. Now I focus on my national team.”
Nigeria will host Gabon with kick off scheduled for 5 p.m. local time.
