Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has sounded an alarm over rising threats against Christian communities in Plateau State, alleging that extremist groups are forcing residents to contribute money for weapons ahead of planned attacks during the Christmas period.

Speaking at the Glory Dome in Abuja, the cleric claimed that women are being compelled to pay N100,000 and men N200,000 as part of a coordinated effort to fund what he described as a planned “jihad” targeting Christian settlements.

“They have vowed we will not spend our Christmas this year. They say we will run with rice in our hands because they are ready for jihad,” Dachomo said.

He urged communities to intensify prayers, insisting that spiritual resistance remains their strongest shield. “Your prayer is more than AK-47, more than rocket launchers. Let’s launch our prayers to heaven,” he said.

Calling for broader support, he added, “Christians must be safe. There is a genocide in Nigeria. Pray for us in Jesus’ name.”
