The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, for questioning.
Malami disclosed the development on Friday through a Facebook post, confirming that he received a formal invitation from the EFCC. He stated that he intends to honour the summons, describing himself as a law-abiding and patriotic citizen.
He added that the values of honesty, integrity and accountability guided his years in public office, and he reaffirmed his commitment to those principles as he proceeds with the invitation.
Malami also assured that he would update Nigerians on any further developments.
As of the time of the report, the EFCC had not revealed the specific issues for which he was invited.
