Umar Jada, the Assistant National Publicity Secretary and North East Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has stepped down from his position.

Jada, a close associate of Atiku Abubakar and one of his strongest loyalists within the party, announced his resignation in a formal letter, explaining that he needed to refocus on other important personal commitments.

“I write to formally tender my resignation as the Assistant National Publicity Secretary and Zonal Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) effective immediately,” he said.

Widely known in Adamawa State as “Calculate,” Jada described the decision as difficult but necessary, noting that his personal matters now require his full attention.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and visibility of the ADC and assured the party of his continued respect for its leadership.

Jada has long been a prominent voice for Atiku and a key figure in promoting the ADC, even before officially assuming his publicity roles. His sudden resignation has sparked surprise among political observers in Adamawa, adding another twist to the ongoing internal dynamics within the state chapter of the party.
