Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has strongly criticised Mohamed Salah for the comments he made about manager Arne Slot and the club.
Carragher described Salah’s remarks as “a disgrace” and suggested the winger was attempting to put pressure on the manager’s position.
His reaction followed Salah’s explosive interview after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United, where the Egyptian accused the club and Slot of “throwing him under the bus.”
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said “It was a disgrace what Salah did. When he stops in a mixed zone. It’s choreographed with his agent to cause maximum damage and strength on his position. He chose this weekend… he’s chosen this time to go for the manager and get him sacked.”
Following the fallout, Slot dropped Salah from the squad to face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
