Former Governor of Abia State and former Senator who represented Abia Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.
The development marks a significant political realignment in the state’s political landscape, considering Senator Orji’s long-standing influence and role in Abia politics over the years.
Recall that the former Governor had, a few months ago, resigned his membership from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a platform under which he served both as Governor of Abia State and later as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Political observers believe that Senator Orji’s move could trigger further realignments within the state, given his political pedigree, experience, and the network of loyal supporters he commands across Abia Central and beyond.
