Former Super Eagles captain William Troost Ekong is set to complete a move to Qatari side Al Ahli SC from Saudi club Al Kholood.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the imminent transfer on Monday.
“Nigerian defender William Troost Ekong is signing in Qatar for Al Ahli SC from Saudi club Al Kholood,” Romano wrote on X.
The 32 year old defender joined Al Kholood from Greek club PAOK in August 2024.
During his time at the club, the centre back scored twice in 45 league appearances.
Troost Ekong announced his retirement from international football a few weeks before the start of the recently concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
