Senior officials at Manchester City are reportedly more concerned about Pep Guardiola possibly leaving the club than the outcome of the Premier League’s investigation into 115 financial charges.

The club has been locked in a legal dispute with the league for the past three years, consistently maintaining its innocence. Although the court case concluded in December 2024, a final verdict has yet to be delivered.

If found guilty, Manchester City could face heavy fines or a points deduction. However, sources say the bigger anxiety within the club’s hierarchy is the uncertainty surrounding Guardiola’s future.

According to The Telegraph, City players are already aware that contingency plans are being discussed in case the Spanish manager decides to leave at the end of the season.

Guardiola’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027, but he has indicated that he will make a decision about his future later this year, fueling speculation about a potential departure.
