President Bola Ahmed Tinubu briefly stumbled on Tuesday during a ceremonial parade organised to welcome him to Türkiye for a state visit.
The incident occurred as the Nigerian leader stepped forward to join the guard of honour. He momentarily lost his balance but was swiftly assisted to his feet by nearby security operatives.
There was a brief distraction following the stumble, but the ceremony continued without further interruption.
President Tinubu is in Türkiye on a state visit aimed at consolidating diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Türkiye and exploring new areas of bilateral cooperation.
During the visit, Tinubu is scheduled to hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on issues including trade, security, investment and regional cooperation.
The programme of activities will also feature the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between both countries, alongside other high-level official engagements.
