Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed a conversation he had with ex-teammate Cesc Fabregas about the possibility of returning to Chelsea as manager.

Hazard and Fabregas played together at Stamford Bridge during a successful period for the club. Fabregas is currently the head coach of Serie A side Como, but has previously been linked with a potential move back to Chelsea in a managerial role.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Hazard said he encouraged the former Spain international to consider coaching the Blues in the near future.

“I will be honest, in the summer we talked a bit,” Hazard said.
“I told him he was one of the best midfielders in history and that he’s destined to become one of the best coaches as well.

“I explained to him that the time has come for him to return to Chelsea, and he joked about it, but I really believe it. He loves football and knows everything about this place.

“I am a Chelsea fan, and I want the best for the club. That is why I dream of seeing Cesc on their bench, while I will be staying in the stands behind him, enjoying the show.”
