As part of preparations for its 2026 Gospel Festival, Power World Ministries International on Sunday carried out a humanitarian outreach to residents of Olokoro, Amakanma and surrounding communities, distributing food items in a practical demonstration of love and care.

The outreach programme, held at the Power World Event and Recreation Centre, attracted a significant number of beneficiaries, including elderly persons, women, youths and other vulnerable members of the community. The distribution was conducted in an orderly and transparent manner, ensuring that support reached those who needed it most.

In addition to the food support, the Church organized a free medical outreach during which residents received complimentary health checks, basic diagnostic tests and professional medical consultations. The initiative provided many with the opportunity to assess their health status and receive medical advice without financial burden.

Speaking at the event, the Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Uche Ume, explained that the outreach was inspired by the spirit of the Valentine season and the ministry’s commitment to expressing the Gospel through tangible acts of kindness.

According to him, the gesture, though modest, was intended to appreciate members of the host communities and extend support ahead of the forthcoming Gospel Festival.

“This is not much, but we feel it is important to appreciate and show love to many people as we prepare for Gospel Festival 2026,” he said.
“Please accept this little token from the deepest part of our hearts.”

He further reiterated that the Church remains dedicated to impacting lives beyond the pulpit by combining spiritual ministration with social responsibility.

The 2026 Gospel Festival is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 23, and will conclude on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Church Auditorium. The week-long event is expected to feature worship sessions, ministrations and other faith-based activities aimed at spiritual renewal and community transformation.
