Arsenal missed the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table after surrendering a two goal advantage to draw 2 to 2 against Wolves at Molineux.

The Gunners travelled for the rescheduled fixture aiming to move seven points clear of their closest challengers.

Bukayo Saka, who recently signed a new contract, gave Mikel Arteta’s side an early lead.

Arsenal doubled their advantage in the second half when Piero Hincapie fired past Jose Sa.

Wolves responded strongly, reducing the deficit through Hugo Bueno in the 61st minute before Tom Edozie netted the equaliser to secure a share of the spoils for the home side.

The result leaves Arsenal five points ahead of Manchester City, who have the opportunity to narrow the gap to two points when they host Newcastle United on Saturday.
