The Abia Faith and Elders Council for Unity, Stability and Development, a faith-based and non-partisan body of Christian clergy and respected elders drawn from across Abia State, hereby invites members to an Emergency Stakeholders’ Meeting.

The organization notes attempts by certain politically exposed persons, attempting to create avoidable tension and disunity among leaders within our State in ways that could distract our brightest lights from the measurable progress currently being recorded in our communities.

As elders and spiritual leaders committed to peace and stability, we consider it necessary to reflect, consult, and respond responsibly, and ensure that this ugly trend is reversed.

At the State level, the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Executive Governor of Abia State, continues to implement reforms and projects aimed at repositioning the socio-economic status of Abia State in a structured and forward-looking manner.

Likewise in Bende Federal Constituency, notable infrastructural and human capital development initiatives have also been recorded under the effective representation of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, CFR, Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives. These strides are visible and widely acknowledged.

As a Council, we identify with responsible leadership, measurable progress, institutional cooperation, and peaceful coexistence, irrespective of political affiliations. We will neither promote division nor remain indifferent where unity and stability are concerned.

It is on this premise that the Council will be Meeting as follows:
