Barrister Peter Ugari, Chief of Staff of the Emohua Local Government Council, presented an award of Excellence in Security of Oil and Gas Pipelines in the Niger Delta Region at the Commonwealth Day celebration held at Elena Event Center in Port Harcourt.
Ugari explained that the award was received the previous week on behalf of Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL).
While presenting the award, he congratulated the management of the company and commended them for their commitment and consistency in maintaining strong relationships with host communities.
Receiving the award on behalf of the company, Mr. Ebikeme and Mr. Augustine Erumusele expressed appreciation to the organisers for recognising their efforts.
They noted that the honour reflects the strong partnership and collaboration between the organisation and host communities in protecting oil and gas infrastructure as well as safeguarding the environment.
The event was organised by the Young Youth Network for Good Leadership in Nigeria (YYNFGL), led by Collins Agumagu, as part of activities marking the Commonwealth Day celebration.
The programme, themed “Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” attracted various groups and stakeholders from across the community.
