The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of its scheduled meetings of the National Caucus, Board of Trustees (BoT), and National Executive Committee (NEC), citing ongoing reconciliation efforts within the party.

In a public notice issued on March 11, 2026, and released at the party’s national secretariat, the decision was conveyed by the National Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Acting National Chairman, Taofeek Arapaja.

According to the statement, the decision followed the position of the party’s PDP Board of Trustees and was taken to demonstrate “utmost good faith” in a court-advised reconciliation process aimed at resolving internal disputes within the opposition party.

The meetings, which had earlier been scheduled to hold this week, have now been postponed indefinitely.

The party explained that the postponement is intended to support efforts aimed at restoring unity among members.

“In furtherance of the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, in pursuit of reconciliation within the party, we announce the postponement of the meetings of the National Caucus, Board of Trustees, and National Executive Committee of our party earlier scheduled for this week until further notice,” the notice stated.

The PDP also apologized for any inconvenience the postponement may cause to party members and other stakeholders.
