Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has warned Liverpool FC not to be too confident ahead of their second-leg clash in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
The Turkish side will travel to Anfield with a narrow 1–0 advantage following Tuesday’s first-leg victory.
Osimhen provided the assist for the early goal scored by Mario Lemina, which secured the win for Galatasaray S.K..
The 27-year-old striker praised the unity within the squad and the support from the club’s fans after defeating the Premier League champions.
“We are a family together with the Galatasaray fans. We did a very good job today,” Osimhen said.
He added that the Turkish champions remain confident heading into the decisive match in England.
“I think we can hurt Liverpool in the second leg. We have done a good job so far,” he added.
Osimhen has now been involved in eight goals in the Champions League this season, scoring seven and providing one assist. The tally represents the highest number of goal contributions by a Nigerian player in a single Champions League campaign.
