Iran has confirmed that at least eight people were killed and 95 others injured following a joint strike by the United States and Israel on a bridge near Tehran.
The development was disclosed by Fars News Agency on Thursday.
According to the report, the strike targeted the B1 bridge located between Karaj and Tehran.
“At least eight civilians were killed and 95 others were injured in the attack,” the agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC, stated.
The latest incident is part of the ongoing conflict that escalated in late February when the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran, reportedly killing its Supreme Leader and others.
In response, Iran has carried out repeated drone and missile strikes targeting United States interests across the Middle East as well as Tel Aviv, resulting in damage to infrastructure.
