Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that he closely monitors media coverage to stay informed about what he described as comments from his “enemies.”
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Wike explained that he regularly follows prime time news broadcasts across major Nigerian television stations, including Africa Independent Television, TVC News, and Channels Television.
He noted that he prefers to rely on firsthand information rather than depending on aides or third parties for updates on public discourse concerning him.
According to the minister, his routine often extends late into the night, as he sometimes revisits broadcasts around midnight to remain fully updated.
“I watch news all the time, AIT News, I will watch, TVC News, Channels, I watch all of them.
“I don’t wait for anyone to come and tell me what my enemies are saying about me, I hear it by myself.
“So you can see that I know the time, even by 12 I still come back to watch everything, I make sure that I watch before I go and sleep.”
