The attention of the Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area Hon Promise Okoro has been drawn to a malicious statement circulated on the internet by the Suspended Cordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeri in Bende Mr Sunday Okorie.
Since the matter has been reported to Security agencies by the Executive Chairman,the Honourable Deputy Chairman of Bende ordinarily wouldn’t have dignified the Suspended NYCN Chairman with a response.
However the Deputy Chairman wishes, to state the record straight.
Around 12:40 pm this afternoon, the Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area was traveling to Umuahia around the Ubani Market axis, the Deputy Chairman sighted an AWUDI Vockswagen Saloon Card (Red ) with the Official Plate number BND 001 LG of the Office of the Executive Chairman.
The Deputy Chairman who is also the Deputy Chief Security officer of the Local Government Area and who knows the cars belonging to his Boss, tried to know who was impersonating the Office of the Executive Chairman.
It was when the Deputy Chairman alighted from his car that he discovered it was the Suspended Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria in Bende, that was impersonating the Office of the Executive Chairman.
Immediately Mr Sunday Okorie sighted the Deputy Chairman, he fled and the Deputy Chairman continued his trip.
As a Responsible Leader, the Deputy Chairman immediately reported the issue to his Boss the Executive Chairman who instructed that the said Sunday Okorie should be arrested and the Plate number impounded.
The Executive Chairman has released a statement to this effect.
It was embarrassing for Mr Sunday Okorie to make a weighty allegations against the peaceful Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area.
The Deputy Chairman wishes to state categorically clear that he has never spoken with Mr Sunday Okorie in the past two Months and has never directly or indirectly threatened Mr Sunday Okorie.
The Deputy Chairman called on mr Sunday Okorie to Prepare evidence of threat from Deputy Chairman as the law will this time take it’s full Course.

The attention of the Executive Chairman of Bende Local Government Area Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa has been drawn to the unauthorized use of the official plate number of the Executive Chairman BND 001 LG by the suspended chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria Bende Local Government Chapter Mr Sunday Okorie.
Efforts made to recover the plate number from the said Mr Sunday Okorie proved abortive hence the Executive Chairman has directed security agencies to arrest and recover the plate number.
The Executive Chairman wish to inform the general public and the good people of Bende that Abia state Government have not lifted the ban on the use of Government plate numbers by unauthorized persons and his administration will stop at nothing in enforcing the ban.
