The organizers of Ballon d’Or, France Football, have announced this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony will be held on October 17, 2022.
It also announced that the lists of candidates for the succession of Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas would be unveiled on August 12.
The Ballon d’ Or organizers disclosed this in a post via its website on Tuesday.
Recall that Messi won the Men’s Ballon d’ Or last year, while Putellas won the female’s award.
Meanwhile, the Kopa Trophy for the best young player and the Yachine Trophy for the best goalkeeper will be revealed on August 12.
Recall that Barcelona’s Pedri and Paris-Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma won the awards last year.
