APC, The All Progressives Congress, has announced the full list of aspirants who want to turn out to be its candidate for the upcoming election in Anambra, which is to take place in November.
Andy Uba, an ex-presidential aide and a current senator, is among the list of 12 candidates. Agboola Ajayi, the APC chairman and the Ondo State deputy governor, announced this news.
Therefore, the list of candidates looks like the following:
Uzoh Obinna, Madu Nonso, Uba Andy, Chukwuma Paul, Nwibe Bart, Nwoye Tony, Onunkwo Johnbosco, Obidigbo Chike, Okonwko D, Uchegbu Adaobi, Nwike Patrick, and Moghalu George.
Presenting the official APC report, Mr. Ajayi praised all aspirants for a good job. He also added that all of them deserved to guide the party in the state.
The chairman also emphasized that the upcoming governorship election in Anambra was significant both for the party and for the state welfare in general.
Osita Izunaso, the APC National Organizing Secretary, passed on good wishes to all candidates, adding that if they lost, an appeal panel would be set up. “We all hope that our candidate will become the next governor of our state,” added Mr. Izunaso.
In his interview with local journalists, Mr. Uba declared that regardless the result of the election, he would undoubtedly continue supporting his party. The former presidential aide also added that the current governor should have started to pack his stuff long ago because APC would rule in the state from November.
