Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), has been declared winner of the election in all the 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State.
The Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer in Enugu State, Prof Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, announced that Obi polled the highest votes in the LGAs followed by Atiku Abubakar, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).
Iwe announced Obi scored 428,640 votes, followed by Atiku who polled 15,749 votes with Tinubu and Kwankwaso garnering 4772 and 1808 respectively.
