Former governor and chairman of Anambra governorship election planning and strategy committee, Chief Jim Nwobodo, has warned the National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against any attempt to cancel the primary election that produced Dr Tony Nwoye as the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
Nwobodo, in a telephone interview with journalists, said Nwoye’s election was transparent, free and fair, having been transmitted live on the television.
“That election was transparent, free and fair and everybody saw it on television from start to finish and hence no one should dare to nullify that election.” Nwobodo said this following the anxiety that the poll might be annulled by the appeal panel led Dr Hassan Lawal.
