Members of the Abia Reinessance Initiative have called the Department of State Security Services and the Nigerian Police to arrest Bart Emeka Eze, the private Lawyer who administered the oath of office on Hon Chukwudi Apugo.
The group in a statement made available to PUO REPORTS on Tuesday wondered where Hon Emeka Eze, who is a private Lawyer and former Legal adviser to the Governor of Abia derived his powers to administer oath on Hon Chukwudi Apugo who was purportedly elected Speaker in a Guest House.
Comrade Chiemela Ekeke, the Secretary of the group said the actions of the lawyer is a breach of the extant rules of the Abia State House of Assembly and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Where does a private Lawyer derived his powers to carry out the functions of the clerk of the Abia State House of Assembly”
They called on the Nigerian Bar Association to investigate the action of the legal practitioner.
