The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos yesterday upheld the election of the Honorable member Representing Osisioma Ngwa North Etate Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Nwogu Iheanacho.
Iheanacho who was elected on the platform of Young Progessive party(YPP) had earlier had his victory upheld by the Tribunal, however the PDP candidate Kennedy Njoku who was not satisfied with the verdict of the court approached the Appeal Court to upturn the Judgement of the lower Court.
In the Judgement delivered in Lagos yesterday, the three member panel of the Court of Appeal ruled that the Appel of the PDP candidate lacked merit and that the election of Hon Nwogu Iheanacho was in accordance with the electoral act.
