On December 15, 2023, Chief Hon. (Barr.) Ben Eke DSSRS, the Executive Chairman of Ahoada East LGA, demonstrated recognition and appreciation by presenting cash prizes to outstanding youths who have brought pride to the Local Government through their notable achievements.
Addressing the youths and their parents in his office, Barr. Eke praised their determination, dedication, and hard work across various fields. He emphasized the importance of these youths investing their mental and physical strength in the positive growth and development of Ahoada East.
While distributing the cheques, The Chairman urged the recipients to become worthy ambassadors of the local government and assured them of his administration’s support in realizing their dreams. He encouraged others to follow the examples set by these youths and promised to reward efforts dedicated to the transformation of the local government as part of his developmental agenda.

Barr. Ben Eke’s gesture aims to inspire and recognize the positive contributions of the youth, fostering an environment of encouragement and support for their future endeavors.
In response, the awardees thanked the Executive Chairman for the rare privilege given to them to come to limelight and they promised to always do their best for the overall development of Ahoada East LGA in particular and Rivers State at large.
