Rivers: Fubara directs HLGAs to immediately take over the council

In a statewide broadcast today, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, expressed deep gratitude to the people of Rivers State for their unwavering support of his administration. He urged citizens to reflect on their collective sacrifices for peace and prosperity.

Governor Fubara highlighted significant achievements in various sectors, including infrastructure, health, education, worker welfare, agriculture, and social welfare. He acknowledged the outgoing local government officials for their dedicated service, whose tenure ended on June 17, 2024.

To ensure continuity, he directed Heads of Local Government Administration (HLGAS) to assume leadership roles immediately, emphasizing the importance of maintaining law and order and upholding the constitution.

Governor Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to defending and improving the state, promising continued infrastructural development, quality healthcare, education, and welfare services. He concluded with a message of unity and optimism for the future.

“Together, we will build a brighter and better future for all,” he said, extending holiday greetings and blessings to the state and nation.
