ABSU SUG, Abia Government Visits Suvivor of Bike Accident That Claimed the Life of a 200 Level Mass Communication Student

The President of the Student Union Government (SUG), Abia State University Comrade Okezie Almond Kezirim, today led a delegation that visited Ms. Stella Ogbuji a 400-level accounting
Student who is a survivor of the recent bike accident that occurred along the Uturu-Ebonyi expressway last Sunday which claimed the live of a 200 Level Student of Mass Communication and a cyclist.

A statement endorsed by Comrade Ohanusi Victor Public Relations Officer of the SUG in ABSU said the SUG President joined the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Affairs, Mr Chinedu Nwosu to visit the Suviving Student.

“During the visit, the SUG President and the government delegate expressed their deep empathy for Ms. Stella’s injuries. They assured her of the full support of both the Student Union Government and the state government, and to give any other necessary support to aid her full recovery from the trauma of the incident”

The Special Assistant on Student Affairs to Governor Alex Otti acknowledged the request made by the SUG President Okezie Almond for the installation of speed bumps on the now notorious Uturu-Ebonyi highway and the provision of adequate medical and other facilities and assured them that these concerns have been noted and that the government will take prompt action to alleviate the longstanding sufferings of the students.
