The Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and President Bola Tinubu are currently having a meeting at the State House in Abuja.

Even if the meeting’s agenda was not formally announced, it might have something to do with the anticipated nationwide demonstration that is scheduled to begin on August 1.

Along with Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State, the Chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum, the delegation of governors was led to the President’s office by Hope Uzodimma, the PGF Chairman and the governor of Imo State.

Among those sighted were Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Benue State Governor Fr. Hycinth Alia, Bassey Otu of Cross River, and the reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu.

Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser, and Abubakar Bagudu, the minister of budget and economic planning, as well as Wale Edun, the minister of finance, were also observed making their way to the president’s office.

The current meeting comes after the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) met earlier on Wednesday night and before the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting that was originally supposed to take place on Thursday at noon.
