The Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti has fulfilled his promise made to the Nigerian Police Force, Abia State Police Command and the Families of Late Inspector Oyibo, an officer attached to the Rapid Response Squad(RRS) and Mr Victor Godliveth who were killed by unknown gunmen during an attack on the Police team in Aba in July.
The Governor has presented the sum of Four Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira to the two families.
According to Asp Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police Command “ The family of late Inspector Oyibo Shehu received a cheque of 3.5 million Naira, while the family of late Mr. Victor Godliveth received a cheque of 1.5 million Naira”
“The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, appreciated His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR, for this generous gesture in recognizing the sacrifices made by these brave officers who lost their lives in the line of duty” the statement Concluded
