The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, led by Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, convened an enlarged meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Bauchi State Governors’ Lodge in Abuja. The meeting brought together key organs of the party, including the Board of Trustees, National Working Committee (NWC), National Assembly PDP Caucus leadership, and the Forum of Former Governors.

At the end of the meeting, the party issued a communique announcing the rescheduling of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, originally planned for October 24, 2024. The meeting has been postponed to November 28, 2024, to allow the party to focus on the upcoming Ondo gubernatorial election on November 16, 2024. The PDP is aiming to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The Forum emphasized the importance of party unity and urged members to avoid divisive rhetoric that could undermine the party’s efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The communique was signed by Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State.
