Chief Kelvin Jombo, a prominent businessman and CEO of Sumblime Group of Companies, has officially defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with 6,000 of his supporters.
The event, held on Friday at the Abiriba Stadium in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, marked a significant boost for the APC in the region.
In his welcome address the APC Chairman in Ohafia Local Government Area Prince Emma Nwosu , said that the Party in Ohafia Local Government Area is one and united and ready to deliver come 2027.
“We are working to build a Party that will win election come 2027”
The State Chairman of the APC in Abia State Sir Kingsley Ononogbu in his address said Chief Kelvin Jombo decision to join the APC is the best decision.
“In the name of APC, the biggest party in Africa, I am greeting particularly Chief Kelvin Jombo for identifying with APC, I promise you that your decision to Join APC is the best Decision you “
“Abriba, Ohafia is a key place in the heart of the All Progressive Congress in Abia State”he said.
A Chieftain of the Party Chief Nnanna Kalu in his speech said that APC in Abiriba are happy to receive Chief Kelvin Jombo
A Former Commissioner for Transportation in Abia State Chief Mrs Nnenna Obewu in her speech said the women of Abiriba will massively support the All Progressive Congress come 2027.
The Senator Representing Abia North Senatorial District Senator Orji Uzor Kalu said Chief Kelvin Jombo is a good product and he is welcomed to APC
“If there anything am doing before now in Abriba, Kelvin Jombo will complete it”
“We are Senator that is building market, schools, road and other developments”
“I want to thank everyone here for receiving our brother Kelvin Jombo to APC, we are the biggest party in Africa and we have what it takes to retain power”
Speaking over the current challenges being faced by Nigerians, the Senator assured that President Tinubu has what it takes to fix the Country.
“I know that our people are hungry, just wait and give us more years and you will be surprised at what you will see”

“Because God is lives, Kelvin Jombo knows that his future is secured in APC” he said
While handing over the APC membership card to Chief Jombo, the APC Chairman in Abia state Chief Kingsley Ononogbu said every good reform comes with pains before it benefits the people .
“What happened to APC in 2023 was as a result of mistrust among members but we have resolved them 90percent” he said
In his Response, Chief Kelvin Jombo said he decided to join the APC to add value to the party.
“We are coming to add value to the APC and contribute our quota to the winnability of the Party, The strength of the broom stick is in its numbers, I want to assure you all that Abiriba is APC”
In a vote of thanks, a Youth of the Party in the Area Mr Edward Okocha said Abiriba people will be patient with President Bola Tinubu in his ongoing reform in the Country while assuring the party of the support of Abiriba People.
