Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has been impeached by members of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Obasa is being accused by the parliamentarians of numerous financial and statutory violations.
According to the People’s Gazette, MPs Lasbat Meranda, his D.Eputy, took Obasa’s seat.
In addition to representing Apapa Constituency 1, Meranda served as the House’s main whip before that.
